trickle down, the hours of the night each bubble is an hour dissipating quietly looming in the air wading down without a care as we lay moon shining in your hair feel it runnin' over me like a hand gentle and knowing,as if the summer sky was raining rockets no escape, only questions in my mind I understand it's only natural but the impact is relentless Slow it down, but surely it all comes round evening marching on still unaware the world may already be on fire, like the lovers we pretend to be need to cleanse it, flood it all or is it just me softly now, gently now, harder now, steady now give into the feeling the heavy, soft seduction of the constant lilting tempo pushing on, beating on if we wait it out til morning there's a halo for us if we just keep our bodies entwined

they were beautiful fields filled with gold I was waiting for awhile then you appeared you opened up your hands woven stems yellow bunch of silky petals then you wrapped it around my neck and told me you never felt this way and you told me you never felt this way before but now I am waiting waiting and our fields are gone and the fields are gone they were so beautiful the fields of gold you felt the same they were so beautiful the fields of gold we felt the same the same

she’s a rattlesnake trapped in a tarpit hissing and squirming to get her out of it so I throw her a stick from a distance my sweet slithering princess she didn’t rattle her tail or bite just the right amount of venom to have a good night the perfect amount of asphyxiation around my neck to appreciate regret and death and irony the miserable miserable comedy I don’t blame you for taking a bite outta me to deny impulse is to deny humanity maybe it’s the lack of oxygen to my head but with my last breath I accept my death with no regrets forbidden fruit in moderation why try to deny the impulse why try to deny the impulse she’s a rattlesnake trapped in a tarpit hissing for hell to get her out of it I throw a stick from a distance my sweet slithering princess I’m glad I ate the fruit of death I accept my fate with no regrets it was an impulse well spent and now I am content why try to deny the impulse

you gave me wings on the verge I’m on the line and I’m doin’ fine you gave me wings on the verge of my freedom I’m on the line and I’m doin’ fine something to make me feel good and I know that it isn’t right but I’ll fly don’t hang up the phone if you don’t want to don’t hang up the phone if you care I want the things that you want so let’s get it all put together again I’m on the line and I’m doin’ fine

floating there and lost the sharks at your feet you're scared of nothing and satisfied drowning don't think you can drink the ocean but right now you know right now you swim in it floating off coast you’re lost with sharks at your feet float there don’t you drown with sharks at your feet float there don’t you drown too cold you’re lost with sharks at your feet you're scared of nothing satisfied drowning don't think you can drink the ocean but right now you know right now you swim in it don’t think you can drink the ocean right now you swim in it
